Opening the Door to School Choice in Kentucky

Every family deserves the chance to choose the school that fits their child best.

The Federal Scholarship Tax Credit Program helps make that possible by providing financial aid, funded entirely by the federal government, to help families cover the cost of K–12 education.

Through this program, eligible Kentucky students can receive scholarships for tuition, books, technology, uniforms, and other approved expenses, whether they attend a public or private school.

Use our SGO Directory to find one serving your region or school.

Each SGO has its own mission, process, and deadlines, so it is a good idea to reach out early.

What an SGO Does:

  • Reviews your scholarship application
  • Verifies family income
  • Prioritizes students according to federal rules
